Hey folks, today I am posting about how to flash custom recovery for Redmi 1s. This version is TWRP and not CWM. With this recovery you can back up your rom, flash packages easily.
The TWRP version is 2.8.1.1. (Twrp for redmi 1s)
Team Win Recovery Project 2.8, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. They started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of own features. It’s a fully touch driven user interface – no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Method 1 (Updater App) WORKED FOR ME
Root your mobile.
Download The zip file below "TWRP_2.8.1.1.zip".
Flash using updater app. (Updater-> Select package->Update)

Flash using updater app. (Updater-> Select package->Update)
Method 2(Mi Recovery)
Rename the zip file from "TWRP_2.8.1.1.zip" to "update.zip"
Put the update.zip to internal sdcard.
Power off mobile.
Reboot to recovery by pressing volume up and power on button.
Choose English
Then flash update.zip.
Rename the zip file from "TWRP_2.8.1.1.zip" to "update.zip"
Put the update.zip to internal sdcard.
Power off mobile.
Reboot to recovery by pressing volume up and power on button.
Choose English
Then flash update.zip.
