Here is how you can disable video auto playing in Facebook in the Web Version. Once you know how to do this, for android and iOS it follows the same intuition.
2. Select VIDEOS once to get to the new page, and then change the selection of AUTO PLAY VIDEOS option to OFF. See picture below for a hint. That should do the trick.

Steps:
1. After logging in to you Facebook account, go to SETTINGS by clicking this LINK or by selecting SETTINGS as shown in the picture below.
